- ... that Jim Londos (pictured) was one of four wrestlers recognized by The Ring magazine as pro wrestling's "true world champion" for holding both the Los Angeles and New York versions of the world title? - @Evrik: New enough and long enough. QPQ present. Hook source checks out. Between nomination and now, someone has requested that the text block be split into a lead and a history section. The orange tag is a blocker for DYK, so this needs to be done. The image is up for deletion at Commons, though it appears to have been published 1931; if kept, it is usable, but if not, it cannot be used. When the section split is complete, this will be ready to promote. Sammi Brie (she/her • t • c) 01:26, 21 August 2022 (UTC)
- Apologies, but I never got pinged and I only now checked the article. The issue specified above is fixed. Sammi Brie (she/her • t • c) 05:26, 1 September 2022 (UTC)
- @Evrik and Sammi Brie: is the cited source an RS? I mean, I imagine we could just cite The Ring... theleekycauldron (talk • contribs) (she/her) 04:12, 8 September 2022 (UTC)

- I'm not sure if the magazine in question is directly available. Sammi Brie (she/her • t • c) 01:16, 18 September 2022 (UTC)
- Just to remind that the image copyright issue is not resolved yet. --Mhhossein talk 04:28, 18 September 2022 (UTC)
- The information in question could possibly be cited with Wrestling Title Histories by Gary Will and Royal Duncan. It's a reliable source for the same type of information in those sources. I will keep looking for my copy, but some other WP:PW editors might be able to help. I know that MPJ-DK also had a copy and would help me with citations before I got my own. - @Evrik: @Sammi Brie: Hey guys, what's the status of this nomination? Onegreatjoke (talk) 13:28, 24 October 2022 (UTC)
- Pinging GaryColemanFan in case more info is available for citation. If not, we may have to abandon this given how long it has taken. Sammi Brie (she/her • t • c) 20:03, 24 October 2022 (UTC)
- I've added the requested WTH citation although a large number of FA and GA-class wrestling articles also use Wrestling-Titles.com as a source. My understanding was that the only thing holding up the nomination was that the Jim Londos photo was up for deletion. I've suggested two alternate photos to Evrik and multiple alt DYK hooks if there are issues with this one. Please let me know if there's anything else I can do to help the DYK nomination along. Thanks. 173.162.220.17 (talk) 21:51, 25 October 2022 (UTC)
- accepting offline citation in good faith; the nomination can be promoted with the image should it survive its deletion nomination. theleekycauldron (talk • contribs) (she/her) 19:17, 1 November 2022 (UTC)
- Is there any reason this simply shouldn't be promoted without its image? It's not like the hook particularly needs its image or that it's such a compelling image that it's worth holding up the nom for three months now.
