Status uncertain
editThe status of this event is unclear to me.
- It is not currently listed in WBF summaries of its world championship program. World Championships & Events. World Bridge Series Championships.
- Only the 2006 and 2010 renditions are listed among World IMP Pairs Championships to Date. That External link was the only source indicated here until today.
- Player records include the 1998 and 2002 renditions. (I have checked one 1998 winner, Russ Ekeblad, and one 2002 winner Tadashi Imakura. Select "Playing Record (Pairs or Individual Events)".) --P64 (talk) 17:25, 15 August 2011 (UTC)
It was a side event in 1998 and 2002 (just like Continuous Pairs, the Zonal Teams and Pairs, etc.). Only winners from 2006 and 2010 are recognized as world champions. http://www.tbricfed.org.tr/docs/uluslararasi_haberler/2006/WBF-yanit.pdf 109.93.85.208 (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 16:14, 17 September 2011 (UTC).
Broken links
editIt looks as though most of the referenced links to pages on the WBF's site are now broken. JH (talk page) 19:22, 31 July 2016 (UTC)
