Fair use rationale for Image:Screen-world.toilet.organization-logo.gif
editImage:Screen-world.toilet.organization-logo.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
Cleanup completed, added a link
editI rewrote the timeline section to read more like prose, as requested. If that looks ok, could someone delete the box? I'm a big fan of World Toilet Day, in part because I occasionally go myself. And considering the situation in Haiti, I'm surprised this wasn't mentioned on Wikipedia's homepage on the 17th. I also added the "Ongoing efforts" section at the end with a link. --Torchpratt (talk) 08:17, 24 November 2010 (UTC)
- Thank you! I've removed the box. --Cyfal (talk) 08:59, 24 November 2010 (UTC)
Introduction
editFounded in 2001 with 15 members, it now has 151 member organizations in 53 countries working towards eliminating the toilet taboo and delivering sustainable sanitation.
What a pile of shite that statement is, so to speak! Would anyone care to render this apalling piece of PR speak into English? Skinsmoke (talk) 02:21, 5 April 2011 (UTC)
Done. Hope this is better.Kutoid (talk) 03:13, 4 April 2017 (UTC)
Updating Page
editHi all, I have heard lots of requests from the sector to update this page. As I am sure you are aware there have been lots of changes to WTD since the last post here. For 1 it is now an official UN day :) I currently work in the WASH sector (studied WASH as well) and worked on WTD 2014 to get the new website set up, develop campaign materials and website content, and mobilize interest groups around WTD activities. I will be supporting WTD 2015 as well.
Happy to collaborate with others who may be interested in updating this page - just get in touch. RobynWaite13 (talk) 10:35, 15 May 2015 (UTC) Robyn Waite (May 15, 2015).
- Sounds great! I think we first need to decide what the page should be called. I think we should actually create a new page called "World Toilet Day" that is separate from this one on World Toilet Organization (of course the two would be linked). It could look a bit similar to Global Handwashing Day. I am currently working on a new article on "Menstrual Hygiene Day", it's almost ready. EvM-Susana (talk) 13:30, 15 May 2015 (UTC)
- I believe this has already been done and the new page is here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_Toilet_Day Kutoid (talk) 03:15, 4 April 2017 (UTC)
Needs additional references
editThis page needs additional references, especially the section on initiatives. Kutoid, can you add some? They can also be press releases that WTO put out, links to certain pages on your website, or publications from others. E.g. about the Handipods in Cambodia you find publications in the SuSanA library and in the project database: http://www.susana.org/en/resources/projects EMsmile (talk) 21:16, 1 May 2017 (UTC)
Advert tag?
editHi, User:Mean as custard you have placed the advert tag on this article. I tend to agree with you but could you please help by pointing out which sections or sentences are particularly problematic? Thanks a lot. EMsmile (talk) 12:16, 18 January 2018 (UTC)
Table finishes in 2016
editIt is nearly 2023 but table of events finishes in 2016. Surely an update is needed. ----MountVic127 (talk) 20:58, 3 November 2022 (UTC)
WASH
editWSH stands for "Water, Sanitation, Hygiene"!
What about "WASH (Water Access, Sanitation, Hygiene)" ? :-) :-) :-) Are there any better "A" words? ----MountVic127 (talk) 02:07, 22 May 2023 (UTC)
