North African dead in WWII
I am surprised there is no mention of civilian casualties in the North African countries. Is there any data on that? 96.231.224.39 (talk) 22:23, 14 November 2011 (UTC)
We need a reliable source re civilian casualties in the North African countries-
See footnote of France 752 civilians were killed during the US air attacks on French Tunisia in 1942–43.[160
See footnote of Italy Civilian losses as a result of the fighting in Italian Libya were estimated by an independent Russian journalist to be 10,000.[214]--Woogie10w (talk) 22:46, 14 November 2011 (UTC)
Has anyone got a reliable source for casualty figures for the civilian populations of Egypt and Tunisia. There must also have been casualties in Algeria and Morocco in Operation Torch. What happened to the population of Tobruk during the siege? Scartboy (talk) 20:31, 14 January 2012 (UTC)
- All I have is a Russian source from 2004 that uses Soviet era estimates from the USSR that I listed above--Woogie10w (talk) 20:51, 14 January 2012 (UTC)
