Former Yugoslavia casualties

I am born and raised in former Yugoslavia, where we learned in primary school that total deaths was around 1,700,000 in WW2 at our country, but here we can see that there are around 1,000,000 total deaths in the casualties table. I think there are some mistakes in sources, since it is impossible to have that kind of mistake here, or in our education. My grandparents told me that there were lots of deaths due to famine and illness but here there are no data of those. Please check that out in respect of all people that gave their life or it was took from them by fascists.

It would be also nice to have number of casualties in each of today's countries that are created after Yugoslavia was divided because there was big difference in Yugoslav regions, some were on the side of Germany and Italy with less deaths of civilians and almost none military, but some suffered very heavy casualties.

There was also a civil war in Yugoslavia at the same time as WW2 between communists and legal Yugoslav conscripts, provoked by fascists, that people were also war casualties.

The first rebellion in Europe after German occupation, started in Yugoslavia.

I don't really know, but I can point out interesting official site of [Ministry of Justice - Commission for Secret Graves] which lists all of the victims after September 12th 1944 that are known for fact, by name and place of the grave. Brunei, North Borneo and Sarawak casualties?

Unfortunately, I can't find the Batu Lintang camp civilian casualties source including the numbers of other civilians who died during the war in British Borneo. :(

You have cited sources for allied military POW deaths, they are already included with Australian and UK military casualties. Do you have a source for civilian casualties in Brunei, North Borneo and Sarawak?--Woogie10w (talk) 23:15, 11 April 2014 (UTC)

There is a civilian casualties on page 193 of the Javanese (North Borneo). While the others I can't find a good estimate on it, many sources only said a "high numbers on civilians death". — ᴀʟʀᴇᴀᴅʏ ʙᴏʀᴇᴅ ^ʜᴜʜ? 06:58, 12 April 2014 (UTC)

R. J. Rummel lists five massacres in Borneo (British) with ?. If all we have is a ? then we could post just that. To say "many sources" and "high numbers on civilians death" is OK when you come to my house for coffee but here on Wikipedia we need reliable sources and numbers. --Woogie10w (talk) 09:43, 12 April 2014 (UTC)
