Demeaning
Kinda demeaning to put the "Jewish deaths" separately and classify others as "Non-Jews"? Makes all those Slavs, Roma and homosexuals look like some second rate victims. Think about it. 109.106.227.130 (talk) 19:04, 12 May 2014 (UTC)
- Well said!! Not to mention why should Jews be separated out period??!! They were Europeans. They were Germans or Pols.
It's because the people on Wikipedia have an agenda. You'll also notice how the Soviet efforts have taken over WW2 literature. WIKIPEDIA USERS: YOU ARE PROPAGANDISTS, NOT KEEPERS OF THE FACTS. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 108.202.135.57 (talk) 15:47, 2 July 2014 (UTC)
umm... "demeaning" is kind of an odd word in this context. Jewish deaths are separated because there was a concerted and conscious campaign to kill all Jews by the Nazis. It wouldn't be particularly responsible or neutral to ignore that fact. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.127.52.201 (talk) 09:25, 15 August 2014 (UTC)
- Other victims are presented as "non-Jews" - that is demeaning, as if all the casualties of WWII are separated between Jews and non Jews. That is wrong. 91.148.90.209 (talk) 08:48, 23 August 2014 (UTC)
- There was concerted and conscious campaign to exterminate all the Slavs, Roma and homosexuals too. 91.148.90.209 (talk) 18:18, 6 September 2014 (UTC)
Chalmers Johnson reference should have a better source
Chalmers Johnson claims that over 30 million people were killed by the Japanese Imperial Army, but I doubt any of his books explain this in any detail. If that's so I'm not sure if he's a credible source as a historian. Do any of his books reference this. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Graylandertagger (talk • contribs) 04:08, 28 August 2014 (UTC)
- You are raising a issue that needs further investigation. I have contacted my local library and requested the book Gold warriors which makes the claim of over 30 million people were killed by the Japanese Imperial Army. --Woogie10w (talk) 11:09, 28 August 2014 (UTC)
Gold Warriors was written by Sterling Seagrave. Perhaps it would be better to referance that. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Graylandertagger (talk • contribs) 15:27, 7 September 2014 (UTC)
Last night I found on a message board that Sterling Seagrave himself directly claimed that 10-14 million civilians were killed by the Japanese Imperial Army. I'm starting to get confused here. Gold Warriors claims that 30 million were killed, but Sterling himself puts the number at up to 14 million. http://educationforum.ipbhost.com/index.php?showtopic=9196 — Preceding unsigned comment added by Graylandertagger (talk • contribs) 18:55, 21 September 2014 (UTC)
