Merge List of One Piece animals

So, as discussed on the talk page of Talk:One Piece, I merged Grand Line, East Blue (One Piece) and North Blue (One Piece) to create this article. As a next step I suggested merging List of One Piece animals in here, as it has been taged to be merged into List of One Piece characters for some time. This would certainly be a better place to put it. Also, it's currently ordered after location, not unlike this article. The end product would be a section for each location, with a sub-section "Animals". Approval? Opposition? Ideas? -- Goodraise (talk) 18:22, 22 August 2008 (UTC)

Wouldn't it be better to name this article, 'Geography of One Piece'? Animals and other characters may be discussed in another article namely 'Characters of One Piece'. - Krupted Soul (talk) 10:36, 23 August 2008 (UTC)

The whole point of the "World of Something" articles is to establish notability. Notability depends in first line on secondary sources, which the manga, the anime and the SBS are not. If it came down to it, 90% of the One Piece related articles would be deleted, because they are virtually unsourced. That being said, it's clear why articles have to be merged. The question is only what to merge where.

About the animal list, it doesn't discuss character animals. For example, it discusses Giant Python, while Nola is discussed in Shandian Tribe. Also, if you take a look at how many pages are already proposed to be merged into List of One Piece characters, then at least I get the feeling, it might not be such a bad idea, to merge it elsewhere. My suggestion is, merging everything that's part of the World of One Piece in here, unless it is an organization or a character. At the moment that would only be List of One Piece animals, but in the long run, it would create a place for things like the Devil Fruits in general, the Golden Den Den Mushi (which is currently on the animals page, though it's rather obiously not an animal), and the like.

Devil Fruits

No, a stand-alone list of Devil Fruits has already been decided to be too detailed to be included. And I don't see such a list to be part of the scope of this article either. The aim for this article, (as I see it,) is to give the average Wikipedia (not One Piece) reader the information needed to understand the workings of Oda's fictional world. But leaving the technicalities aside, the fruits are not important, only their users are and not even all of them. Any listing of Devil Fruits is bound to end up as a paraphrased list of characters. And I think with List of One Piece characters, List of minor One Piece characters and List of One Piece filler characters we have already way more than enough of them. - Saying this as a One Piece fan: Wikipedia is not for us, it's for everyone else. -- Goodraise (talk) 17:10, 10 September 2008 (UTC)

Three Powers

Could someone explain, why is it a good idea that articles that used to be independent like the Yonkou and Shichibukai are merged into this one, yet there are scarcely any information on them?
