Done The contractions that are a part of direct quotes are fine but the others need to be expanded. Abel (talk) 21:43, 17 November 2015 (UTC)
Done Stuff like "tried on several occasions to run away and join the army" needs citation. Abel (talk) 21:43, 17 November 2015 (UTC)
- That one instance is done, yet there are several examples of this, for instance "Wyatt had an elder half-brother from his father's first marriage, Newton, and a half-sister Mariah Ann, who died at the age of ten months." Abel (talk) 23:21, 17 November 2015 (UTC)
- Question: I see there are a few instances where citations are missing at the end of a paragraphy. I'll fix those within the next day or so. — btphelps (talk to me) (what I've done) 01:25, 19 November 2015 (UTC)
- Then you are almost there! If I can find anything I will add it to this list, but it looks like just about all the criteria are very close to being in order. Abel (talk) 02:40, 19 November 2015 (UTC)
- I verified that every paragraph ends with a reference. — btphelps (talk to me) (what I've done) 08:09, 19 November 2015 (UTC)
- First, thank you so much for all this work. The article is very long and detailed and we are really in the weeds at this point. I found a few minor edits and just went ahead and made the fixes. There are now only four citation needed markers in the article, which hopefully will make picking out those needles easier. It is possible that the already extensive reference list has a reference that will cover each and a citation can just be repeated and problem solved.
- I'll find those in the next 24 hours. Thanks for your patience. — btphelps (talk to me) (what I've done) 04:18, 20 November 2015 (UTC)
- I completed the four missing citations. — btphelps (talk to me) (what I've done) 06:20, 20 November 2015 (UTC)

Done Stuff like "member of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows," "bummers" all seem disconnected. Abel (talk) 21:43, 17 November 2015 (UTC)
- I agree about the Odd Fellows info, and removed it. However, the info on "bummers" is very informative to explain the newspaper article about his arest and description as a "bummer". It describes Earp's early character, contradicting his modern, shining reputation, and I think is essential to better understanding his life. Remove the brief explanation and you lose the context. — btphelps (talk to me) (what I've done) 22:02, 17 November 2015 (UTC)
- Removal solves the Odd Fellows bit, but the bummer business is not remotely clear. No need to delete it all, just edit it to make the connection and relevance clear and problem solved. Abel (talk) 23:21, 17 November 2015 (UTC)
- Thank you, now the connection is perfectly clear and shows why this all needs to stay together as it is. Abel (talk) 20:39, 18 November 2015 (UTC)

Done Some references have errors. Abel (talk) 21:43, 17 November 2015 (UTC)
Done https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Wyatt_Earp_und_Bat_Masterson_1876.jpg uses "author's life plus 70 years" yet lists no author. Abel (talk) 21:43, 17 November 2015 (UTC) Removed.
- Removal is probably the easiest option, and perfectly valid, but changing it to "before 1923," or whatever the year, is probably equally valid. Abel (talk) 23:13, 17 November 2015 (UTC)
- I didn't upload the images and I'm not familiar with their origins, so for the sake of moving through GA, the expeditious thing was to just remove them. I'll look into the other issues later and see if they're worth re-adding. — btphelps (talk to me) (what I've done) 17:07, 18 November 2015 (UTC)
- Makes sense, just did not want people thinking that removal was the only option. Abel (talk) 20:35, 18 November 2015 (UTC)

Done https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Luke_Short.jpg uses "author's life plus 100 years" yet lists no author. Abel (talk) 21:43, 17 November 2015 (UTC) Removed.

Done There are multiple listings for "Ortega, Tony (December 24, 1998). "How the West Was Spun". Retrieved May 29, 2011." currently 209, 213, 216.
- The article spanned multiple web pages and the references refer to content found on those specific pages. If you know of a better way to cite this kind of source, let me know. — btphelps (talk to me) (what I've done) 17:14, 18 November 2015 (UTC)
- Adding {{rp|4}} to show which page each ref is pointing to might do that. Abel (talk) 20:35, 18 November 2015 (UTC)
Done There are multiple listings for "Frontier Marshall at the Internet Movie Database" as both 235 and 236.
- These are two different movies using the same title.
Done There are multiple listings for "Wyatt Earp at the Internet Movie Database" as both 246 and 247.
- I corrected one of the movie titles.
Done All the citations in Earp legend in film and television are in the middle of sentences rather than the end, which is the only place I can see that is not uniform.Abel (talk) 18:27, 19 November 2015 (UTC)
Thanks for the eagle eye, I'll have a look at these and get them fixed. Please allow me some time during your review to address any issues you find. I'd like to get it through GA. It's an important article. — btphelps (talk to me) (what I've done) 21:52, 17 November 2015 (UTC)
