Wynnsboro is by definition, not a ghost town
editI don't know what exactly I read to know this, but I know it to be true: Wynnsboro never had the chance to exist. It was planned and platted/laid out (however you want to put it) but according to a couple history books I read at the Harrison County Public Library, nothing ever came of it. That being said, this is why I don't think it should be called a "ghost town" because that term implies that something was there and now it is gone.
At some point I would love to find the source for this information and write it out all wikipedia-like, but for now, I would like an opinion on what it should be referred to instead? I've seen the term extinct used as well but yet again, never existed to begin with except in writing and on some maps.
