The Bubble??

edit

I have lived in Wyoming for nearly fifty years and have never heard it refered to as "the Bubble". Who made this up?

Where did the name "Wyoming" come from and how did it get attached to a town in Ohio? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 167.131.0.194 (talk) 01:51, 11 January 2013 (UTC)Reply

I grew up in Wyoming, graduated in 2006. We called it "the Bubble" all the time, referring to how well we all knew about things going on inside Wyoming compared to how little we kept track of what was going on outside the town. I don't have anything to cite, other than my own experience. Maybe there's a DVD of Corral from some year where someone joked about it? I also remember one year everyone started saying "Oh, NaCl!" instead of "Oh, salt!" (That wasn't really relevant, I just really miss saying "Oh, salt!") Wyoming's current website address is: www.wyomingohio.gov When you click on it from the article it will take you to our current page but shows you the old website address in the address line, which no longer exists. We are working with all of the common search engines to stop displaying the old website address when searching for us, but as everyone knows, that's a long process that may or may not work at all. Thanks.
