I do not understand why four uncommitted delegates were added...Tuvwxyz (T) (C) 23:40, 8 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

There are 28 delegates, adding up the given totals for each candidate: 8+3+1=12 delegates 5+1+1+1=8 with 4 "uncommitted" alternate delegates, which add up to 24 leaving 4 delegates that aren't accounted for. I'm probably confusing delegates, eligible delegates (since half were removed due to Wyoming having an early primary), and alternate delegates, but those are the totals that make the most sense to me. Either way, there needs to be a source for what happened to the missing 4 (or 2 or 16, depending on how the different delegates are counted) delegates. ~ PaulC/T+ 23:52, 8 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
Wyoming began w/ 28, but lost half because they moved up their conventions against the wishes of the RNC, leaving 14. 2 of those delegates will be chosen at the state convention in May, leaving 12. The alternates are only elected in case the elected delegates can't make it to the national convention. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Tuvwxyz (talkcontribs) 23:56, 8 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
So what I'm saying is that the missing four are the four that would be chosen at the state convention (now 2 because of the delegate slashing).Tuvwxyz (T) (C) 00:01, 9 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

That doesn't really make much sense. The 4 alternate delegates are just that, alternate delegates. According to your above reasoning, which makes sense, there are 2 delegates that are uncommitted in addition to the 4 alternate delegates, if they are needed. Basically there needs to be a source on this. I'm going to move this discussion to the article's talk page. ~ PaulC/T+ 00:07, 9 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

I believe the Wyoming GOP's spreadsheet is a good source [1]. Personally I don't think the two delegates to be chosen at the state convention should be listed here, as this is the county conventions article, not the Wyoming delegation article. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Tuvwxyz (talkcontribs) 00:17, 9 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
That spreadsheet doesn't say anything about the 14 delegates going to the RNC and the 2 missing delegates. There is obviously ambiguity around this and it needs to be clarified somehow by a source. There should probably be a better explanation about it as well. ~ PaulC/T+ 00:55, 9 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
