Talk:Wyvern (video game)
Stubby7?
editKind of stubby, if you ask me. Is this because the only reliable informational source is the website? Aeonoris (talk) 17:13, 15 June 2008 (UTC)
- No, not really. I created it as a stub on purpose, hoping someone with more wikipedia experience would come along and use the sources I provided to build a proper article. Previous incarnations of this page had been deleted for lack of notability due to the fact that the previous contributors didn't understand how to prove it was notable. So while I'm not comfortable writing a more a complex article, I felt that this game was indeed notable and that if I showed that, it would give other people something to build on and help them find their own reliable sources by looking at the examples provided (there were those who were trying to give MMORPG listings as sources last time around). At the same time, there's not a whole lot to be said about it. I think there's enough reliable material from secondary sources to almost equal the Crossfire article, but anything beyond that would be stretching it. In any case, if nobody does anything to it after a fashion, I'll take a stab at properly expanding it. --Chaos curse (talk) 04:02, 17 June 2008 (UTC)
Yeah, the article is stubby, and probably the website is the most reliable. But it has lots of information from it so...Rђαηα (talk) 23:05, 12 February 2009 (UTC)
Navigation
editAfter editing the wording regarding navigation of the game, I realized that the original wording can be taken literally. In this case however, it still works as it clarifies "full" control methods. I hope nobody minds. ~ Zeofar (talk) 06:26, 26 August 2008 (UTC)
Wyvern (game/online game/computer game)
editThe article was moved into Wyvern (game) by McGeddon which I feel is a bad idea since Wyvern is also a card game and that may create some confusion. I originally wanted to move it back, but after some consideration I felt Wyvern (Computer Game) works best as it both distinguishes it from the card game and is keeping with the format that other MMORPGs use when in a similar situation. Chaos curse (talk) 03:50, 17 November 2008 (UTC)
- I agree that it should not be Wyvern (game) but it should definitely be Online Game because it requires internet connection and you cannot play it offline. If you go take a look at the List of MMORPGs you'll see that of the articles that link to "computer game" versions are mostly redirected to "video game" versions. If you wanted to keep in tune with most MMORPGS, then it should become Wyvern (Video Game). Some of them even go to articles of "MMORPG" versions. The only two that go to computer game are Diaspora which is a defunct game and Fury which requires a DVD to play and would therefore be more like a "computer game." I think that it should be moved back to Wyvern (online game). -- RandorXeus. Remember to Be Bold! 04:37, 18 November 2008 (UTC)
Wyvern (video game) move
editWhy is (video game) dab "more appropriate" (as given in move log)? (online game) is reasonably well-established as dab for games of its type. —chaos5023 (talk) 17:46, 28 May 2010 (UTC)
