Could someone update it or replace it? Thanks. --GetFresh (talk) 08:31, 31 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Added a new ref as the existing one does not seem to be available anywhere now, thanks for pointing it out. Mikenorton (talk) 09:31, 31 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Title change

edit

I've never quite understood why editors change article names without discussion. In this case I can find no examples of this feature being named with an endash or whatever this is. There is a good case for moving the article to the unhyphenated Wyville Thomson, which I will do unless there is an objection as at least no-one is likely to change it. I see that nobody has fixed the redirects, which is sloppy. Mikenorton (talk) 22:21, 22 July 2012 (UTC)Reply

But it's unusual for these features to be named with two spaced words, isn't it? Tony (talk) 02:54, 23 July 2012 (UTC)Reply
The first Google books hit has the en dash; and some have spaces and some hyphens. But since it's named about Dr. Wyville Thomson, I think the space would be correct. Dicklyon (talk) 04:12, 23 July 2012 (UTC)Reply
Ah, my mistake. I tried to move to to "Wyville Thomson Ridge", but it won't go. Tony (talk) 04:25, 23 July 2012 (UTC)Reply
Yeah, it's too late, after the bot fixed the double redirect already. Better ask for a technical RM. Dicklyon (talk) 05:03, 23 July 2012 (UTC)Reply
I've asked for advice at WPject Geology. Tony (talk) 07:18, 23 July 2012 (UTC)Reply
Done. Vsmith (talk) 11:10, 23 July 2012 (UTC)Reply
The map could be updated to match, maybe... Vsmith (talk) 11:17, 23 July 2012 (UTC)Reply
It will be, but not until I get back this evening. Thanks for making the change to the title - hopefully if I created such an article today I would be a bit more careful about the name. Mikenorton (talk) 11:24, 23 July 2012 (UTC)Reply
Map now updated. Mikenorton (talk) 20:37, 23 July 2012 (UTC)Reply
