Absolutely not. The International AIDS conference is a massive, massive deal affecting policy in a wide number of sectors right around the world. (This is partly why the deaths of the attendees and their link to the conference is getting the exposure it is.) I think that individual conferences meet WP:N without any trouble at all, and merging them into the "conferences" section in International AIDS Society would wipe out Wikipedia coverage of something vital to covering not just HIV/AIDS but a whole load of related issues well. This is much bigger than the society itself (which, to be honest, I'd never heard of, despite coverage of AIDS2014 being all over the place for months and months). Disagree. Each conference has had a separate entry for the past 20 years (10 conferences in total). It would be a bit odd for AIDS 2014 to be skipped as an exception to the rule. Mvolz (talk) 16:40, 21 July 2014 (UTC)Reply
