All episodes survive
editI just got the Old Time Radio Researchers version of X Minus One. It turns out that some "existing" episodes are copies of other episodes that were made using the same script. Some episodes are in fact missing from wide distribution. Now, this doesn't mean they can't be sitting in someone's closet somewhere, and the OTRR is not a reliable source by Wikipedia standards (one of the problems with WP:RS), but since the statement that all episodes exist is not referenced, I was at least able to delete it. 90s rebroadcasts/British broadcasts
editAt least the first series and part of the second got rebroadcast in Britain in the early 90s (around 92/93), on BBC Radio 5 (before it was relaunched as a news and sport station, it had a weekly schedule of OTR radio dramas inc Box 13, Randy Stone, Dragnet, The Black Museum & this)
Did this programme get an earlier UK/non-US broadcast?109.224.137.121 (talk) 20:28, 26 July 2013 (UTC)
- (I didn't realize that it was broadcast on the old BBC R5 which I used to listen to around that time when I was poor and studenty although it might have been on when I was out nursing a pint for a night :), but anyway..) The one set of broadcasts outside the US proper that I am sure about was on American Forces Radio during the fifties but I did a little searching and I can find forum posts from people who can remember it being repeated on American Forces Network into (at least) the late 1970s. Actually I think that's why so many (possibly all) of the episodes have survived; many of the recordings available are obviously taken from AFN transcription discs rather than NBC discs. I can't find any mentions online of anyone else broadcasting the program (barring old-time-radio nostalgia stations nowadays), but that doesn't exclude the possibility that other stations bought it in.
