Blog post
editThanks for clarifying that it is your blog post that the text was taken from in your edit summary, but when I put the {{copypaste}}
template on, I read the wikipedia guidelines on copyright violations and I read that even if you own the text, you can't copy it in. I don't want to moan but I think you have to donate the text or something (unless it's already under a CC-by-SA licence). Thanks for reading this, I hope we can sort something out. - It's true that I started the discussion over on Beyond3d. Searching here on Wikipedia for information on this particular group produced zero information, hence the reason I created this page. It's hard for me to find new words to describe the same criminal deeds, so it might be better if someone else went over the article improving flow/prose. Otherwise I'll try to rectify the situation over the course of the next few days. Thank you for alerting me to the problem. — TPX 22:34, 10 June 2015 (UTC)
- @ThePowerofX: Nah, it's fine. I just didn't want some other editor coming over and deleting this page because you wrote the blog post and this article roughly the same. I don't think I'll be able to go through and improve flow/prose as I don't know much about the subject but if anyone puts any other delete/copyright tags on this article I'll just link them to this discussion. Contested deletion
editThis article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because (i) group members have accepted guilt to hacking not only Microsoft and multiple third-party development partners, a notable achievement alone, but also the United States Army computer network [1] (ii) In addition, one of the the group's memebers, David Pokora, is the first foreign hacker ever to be sentenced on United States soil. The sentence has been descibed as "a first of its kind". [2] (iii) Their criminal activity has received considerable international press coverage, including The Age, [3] The Guardian, [4] Seattle Times [5] ZDnet [6] the National Post [7] the DailyMail [8] and numerous other reliable sources. — TPX 08:22, 11 June 2015 (UTC)
