Different Information on History
editInformation on p. 66 of the 29 October 2007 issue of Aviation Week & Space Technology differs from the existing information in the article concerning the startup of the MA60 program - is it possible that the existing article is talking about the first flight and first deliveries of the Y7? The AW&ST information: The aircraft made its initial flight in 2000. Deliveries began in August 2000, to Sichuan Airlines. A freighter version, called the MA60-500, is also marketed.
- The official site agrees with you [1], so I've changed the article. Jpatokal (talk) 03:36, 17 March 2009 (UTC)

Refused certification in Fiji
editthis source states that the aircraft was refused certification in Fiji, which torpedoed Air Fiji taking delivery of the aircraft. Perhaps this could be mentioned in the article. --Russavia I'm chanting as we speak 08:04, 23 October 2009 (UTC)
- The article says CATIC "unfortunately could not get their MA60s-licensed by CAAFI", with no word about why -- this is not at all the same as being actively refused certification. Jpatokal (talk) 16:18, 23 October 2009 (UTC)
As the MA60 is nothing more than a variant of the Y7 then this page should be amalgamated with the Xian Y7 page and deleted.Petebutt (talk) 06:55, 21 December 2009 (UTC)
- Oppose - From what I can tell, the MA60 is quite different than the Y-7, which is much closer to the An-24/-26. - BilCat (talk) 07:44, 21 December 2009 (UTC)
- Oppose - No reason why we cant have two articles, also an apology I removed the MA60 from the Y-7/Y7 article before I came here. MilborneOne (talk) 11:37, 21 December 2009 (UTC)
Operators: Merpati Nusantara
editThe number of planes operated by this carrier is conflicting within this article (11 in use +1 crashed +2 ordered under "Operators" vs. 13 in use + 2 ordered in the table); but also between articles (the article on Merpati airlines gives a number of 9 in use and 6 ordered). The crash on 7 May is the only confirmed number on this. The Merpati page has not been updated since January, but I would take this as reference for the total number of MA 60 associated with this carrier (15). As the delivery was scheduled for 2010/2011, I believe some aircraft have been delivered in the meantime. I thus would opt for correcting the numbers as follows: Operators: 12 in use, 1 crashed, 2 ordered, same for the table. —Preceding unsigned comment added by SaiBot2011 (talk • contribs) 12:29, 7 May 2011 (UTC)
Terminology
editCan we use the words landing gear, nose gear and (LH or RH) main gear instead of undercarriage wherever possible so that readers can be better informed? Lin (talk) 03:35, 8 May 2011 (UTC)
Nepal Airlines MA60
editThis edit, which removed material regarding this, caught my eye. Some googling turned up this news article, which does not support the removed material as written but which does somewhat support its thrust. I think that adding this here would give it undue weight re this topic. It would fit better in the Nepal Airlines article, which could use an update regarding this.
