Question
editAre its 4 segments
- "Water transport, treatment and testing, Water technology, & Application solutions."
or
- "Water solutions, Flow control, Analytics, and Residential and commercial water."
Both statements appear in the article. DGG ( talk ) 06:25, 17 February 2013 (UTC)
- One set is divisions, the other segments. I've updated the article with the current descriptions from their website. Hybrid2712 (talk) 15:43, 17 February 2013 (UTC)
Multiple merger proposal
editSo far I have found four separate articles on Xylem. This one, and articles on its divisions Flygt, YSI Inc. and Goulds Water Technology. I don't think we need four articles on this company, and most of them are in pretty sorry shape, are orphaned, and could easily be merged into one article, i.e. this one. Thoughts? - Support. I do not see any downside to this idea. VQuakr (talk) 03:16, 7 June 2013 (UTC)
I work with Xylem and they would indeed like to merge these pages. How exactly does one go about doing this? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 12.38.190.9 (talk) 21:02, 4 November 2013 (UTC)
- By combining them all into one article and redirecting the other titles here. See WP:MERGE for more information. Beeblebrox (talk) 21:44, 4 November 2013 (UTC)
- Done. although I did it pretty "quick and dirty" by just moving over all the text and adjusting the section headers. I didn't think the article needed a separate infobox for each division so I left those behind, but if others disagree they can still be pulled from the history of the redirected pages.
