"national God"
editaccording to all religious texts (and the majority of information we have) on Yahweh, he was not a "national" God. The people of Israel did not consider him to be and neither do modern Jews, Christians, or Muslims. Schwarzschild Point • 16:16, 6 August 2015 (UTC)
- But we don't rely solely on religious texts. Many sources that meet our criteria at WP:RS refer to him as Israel's national god. See[1]. Doug Weller (talk) 16:36, 6 August 2015 (UTC)
- Yes, there are such sources. But there are also plenty of reliable sources that would tell you that Yahweh is the name of the god of modern Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. We shouldn't privilege one usage or point of view over another on a disambiguation page. I will attempt to come up with a description that will be more NPOV. — trlkly 23:58, 8 March 2023 (UTC)
