External links modified (January 2018)
editHello fellow Wikipedians,
I have just modified one external link on Yakovlev. Please take a moment to review my edit. If you have any questions, or need the bot to ignore the links, or the page altogether, please visit this simple FaQ for additional information. I made the following changes:
- Added archive https://web.archive.org/web/20050303215036/http://www.yak-54.com/ to http://www.yak-54.com/

Possible name changes / or merger
edit- The following discussion is closed. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section. A summary of the conclusions reached follows.
- To rename Irkut Corporation to match its current name; to keep two pages. Klbrain (talk) 13:13, 23 November 2024 (UTC)
- In August 2023 Irkut Corporation changed its name to Yakovlev however that page remains Irkut Corporation.
- A.S. Yakovlev Design Bureau which is a subsidiary of Yakovlev formerly Irkut Corporation, uses the Yakovlev page.
- So does A.S. Yakovlev Design Bureau keep its own page, in which case we should maybe change the page name to Yakovlev Design Bureau which would then free up the name Yakovlev to enable the Irkut Corporation page to be renamed Yakovlev or Yakovlev Corporation
- If the design bureau does not need its own page, it is necessary to merge Irkut Corporation with Yakovlev
- Personally I believe they should each have their own pages so would prefer the two name changes. Ânes-pur-sàng (talk) 16:06, 14 January 2024 (UTC)
- Agree, two pages: Yakovlev Design Bureau and Yakovlev Corporation, - would be good (with move of most historic material to the first one) Apetrov09703 (talk) 08:08, 31 August 2024 (UTC)
- I would support two pages as well. One for the history of the design bureau up to 2023 and the other for the history of Irkut up to 2023 and "JSC Yakovlev" from 2023 on.
- To clarify, A.S. Yakovlev Design Bureau still exists as a subsidiary of JSC Yakovlev Corporation, correct? If so, I'm not sure which article should have the post-2023 history of said subsidiary. It may largely depend on how much of a distinct identity the design bureau maintains going forward. –Noha307 (talk) 03:23, 15 November 2024 (UTC)
- I note that Irkut Corporation has already been renamed, which is consistent with this discussion; as to whether Yakovlev changes name (or whether disambiguation in the lede) is sufficient is something that can be separately considered. I've amended the lede (hopefully to help); no objection to a move as well, and it avoids the need for a DAB page. Klbrain (talk) 13:13, 23 November 2024 (UTC)
