General Enhancements

edit

'Models' paragraph should be broken down. Links to ROV and xz550.com should be in an External Links section. There is much personal opinion in above paragraph

Carburetor size is 36mm for 1983 (RK), are 1982 (RJ) carbs 34mm? Verify and provide reference, then add.

More complete Engine Specifications would be appreciated.

Yamaha Models/Years

edit

a Yamaha motorcycle timeline at the bottom would be nice. This should be implemented across all Yamaha motors related pages.

References

edit

Some similar/extended information appears in the Cycle World test of the Yamaha XZ550RJ, page 38, issue unknown. Reference needs to be made. After this, the bhp and torque specs from this article should be added and probably backed up with a 2nd reference. Asicmod (talk) 09:14, 27 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

This sounds like an ad!!! Bobo the Talking Clown (talk) 23:12, 15 January 2008 (UTC) Maybe it does, but the facts presented are true! It was for its days a remarkable bike, ahead of its time, and maybe therfore a commercial failure. The bike has issues; starter clutch problems, electrical malfunction etc, but thoose are mentioned in the text. It´s a good article! 2.69.149.236 (talk) 01:07, 21 March 2014 (UTC)(Thomas Houltzén)2.69.149.236 (talk) 01:07, 21 March 2014 (UTC)Reply
