Talk:Yellow-billed teal
Opening heading
editAnas flavirostris has been renamed "Yellow-billed Teal" by the International Ornithological Congress (IOC). Shouldn't we edit this article then? Every four months, the IOC performs a number of updates: Species, English name, Range, and Taxonomic Updates. But I can see the relevant articles haven't been edited. Is there a reason for this?
Thank you for enlightening me :-)

Speckled Teal → Yellow-billed Teal – Speckled Teal has been divided by the AOU into 2 species. The one listed here is now called the Yelow-billed Teal. a new Speckled Teal page becomes a disambig for Yellow-billed and Andean Teal.... Pvmoutside (talk) 14:01, 12 October 2011 (UTC)
