The page is a messy still full of advertising. I suggest its rewritten. It is said she works adverting products such DVF and Clarins etc. Work is needed to remove the puff and advertising nature eg references to Hitchcock, She has not won an Oscar or any major film award? What has she won? It feels it is written by a" sock puppet". The English is translated so makes no sense. Tried to do my best.Merrypinkwoman (talk) 00:54, 9 March 2016 (UTC)Reply

The text that I added in this page is based on dependable resources such as Time magazine, Wmagazine etc with neutrality. Please feel free to let me know which parts are in neutral so that I can verify. Thanks & Best regards,Claire407 — Preceding unsigned comment added by Claire407 (talkcontribs) 04:18, 8 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

  • I have reinstated the maintenance tags again. This article was substantially edited by "Yizhoustudio" and I note your own edits have concerned exclusively this article. If you have a WP:COI, can you please declare it here, for purposes of transparency? On your question, the article text contains various chunks of point-of-view text. It should be obvious what these are (for example "Yi Zhou is a modern-day Chinese Hitchcock and Cindy Sherman; she is from the twitter/instagram and tumblr generation, an image maker and muse" - pure PR-speak). AllyD (talk) 06:57, 8 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for your points. However, "Yi Zhou is a modern-day Chinese Hitchcock and Cindy Sherman; she is from the twitter/instagram and tumblr generation, an image maker and muse" this sentence is from Vogue China's May issue in 2012. As for the rest parts of the text, they are also mostly from magazines and newspapers, so hope it's fine for you. Thank you very much.

  • Even sourced from Chinese Vogue, the Hitchcock-Sherman sentence is just gushing journalistic froth and unencyclopaedic. It would allow you to say "One journalist has described her as (blah)" but not "She is (blah)". But it is essentially meaningless. The other matter raised was Conflct of Interest which remains unanswered? AllyD (talk) 07:00, 22 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for the explanation. I agree with you about adding "One journalist has described her as". Regarding the Conflict of Interest, I am also not very clear about where does it come from. Could you please kindly let me know where it is? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Claire407 (talkcontribs) 02:05, 23 August 2012 (UTC) Regarding the neutrality and advertising sounding aspect of this article, since as from my point of view, I have already deleted all the expressions which may be regarded as advertising, could you please kindly give me a guidence about which parts of the article are not good enough so that I can rewrite? Thank you very much in advance. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Claire407 (talkcontribs) 06:23, 18 January 2013 (UTC)Reply

I have edited the text and wrote with neutral information. Please suggest what went wrong. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Claire407 (talkcontribs) 07:02, 20 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

Hi, I found the expressions in this wikipage's text ok. Can we discuss about how to remove "COI, POV & Advert"? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Rainy0104 (talkcontribs) 01:14, 28 June 2013 (UTC)Reply

I see that someone removed the tags, even though the blatantly promotional content is still there. I have restored the tags. Maproom (talk) 13:27, 1 July 2013 (UTC)Reply
As for the "The neutrality of this article is disputed" tag – two major contributors to the article are Yizhoustudio whose name strongly implies a conflict of interest, and Rainy0104 who has written "Chinese artist Yi Zhou who is my favorite", and therefore cannot be expected to show a neutral point of view. Moreover both are single-purpose accounts. Maproom (talk) 15:46, 1 July 2013 (UTC)Reply
I improved and re wrote this page on Yi Zhou. I do know her but I am not close. I have removed the Hitchcock quote but kept the others as they could be true. Although to be like someone else is insulting?

It is now written in English that is comprehensible and not a translation. Yi is a young artist who uses social media and brands to increase and pay for her artwork. Good on her 81.136.148.136 (talk) 16:16, 10 March 2016 (UTC)Reply

09:22, 21 June 2016 (UTC) The article has been selected for deletion and although I am not in touch with Yi Zhou I will try and send her a message through facebook. I agree with all criticisms but she is a female artist of note in that she has had two sculptures in Place Vendome, Paris. this must count for something? It is indeed badly written and full of everything Wikipedia does not like eg puff and exaggeration. She uses social media and hopefully I can help her.

I am surprised you want to delete this Yi created huge sculptures in Place Vendome. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.136.148.136 (talk) 00:07, 8 December 2016 (UTC)Reply
