Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to one external link on Yocemento, Kansas. Please take a moment to review my edit. You may add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it, if I keep adding bad data, but formatting bugs should be reported instead. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether, but should be used as a last resort. I made the following changes:

When you have finished reviewing my changes, please set the checked parameter below to true or failed to let others know (documentation at {{Sourcecheck}}).

I wanted to jot these down while I have the links:

Battle of Hogback

edit

I was surprised that while trying to chase down the "Nichty" coal hoax, I hit several articles on the Battle of Hogback (technically, an engagement at the end of the Battle of the Saline River.) I had never seen before. Reading Armes' journal of the August 1967 Battle of the Saline River, by careful dead reconning, one can figure that Armes retreated to the Hogback Ridge, but previously I had only one weak RS citation based on Armes' celebrated revisit to the ridge years later. 75 year-old land owners recall man-made limestone structures on the ridge from their childhoods. Gardner photographed one, incidentally, in 1867; and Ike Yost mapped the same structure in 1907 (which he then destroyed with the quarry). But a century is more than enough time for any Fort Hays Limestone wall to crumble to dust.
