The WikiProject U.S. Counties standards might help.
Historic developments
editEditors need to be careful to have their narratives support the chronology of historic developments. Thus, Powhatan's second capital was not located "at the site of Richmond's Powhatan Hill neighborhood", BUT "Richmond's Powhatan Hill neighborhood was later developed at the site of the ancient capital." Similarly, the Navy base was developed at a site historically associated with the Chiskiack tribe and incorporated roads named after them. Have changed numerous sentences that reversed the chronology.Parkwells (talk) 19:21, 30 September 2013 (UTC)
Maps
editBetter maps are needed - help! - these county maps may be standardized but they offer little information to make sense of a county itself, especially rivers and other features important to development.Parkwells (talk) 18:31, 8 January 2015 (UTC)
