"Breakin' ..."?

@Ritchie333: Great to see this song getting a dedicated article. Just wonder, shouldn't the title be "You're Breakin' My Heart"? That's how it appears in the Castleman & Podrazik book, and I imagine they followed the wording used on the LP and "Spaceman" single. JG66 (talk) 00:09, 14 June 2016 (UTC)

So this is the song ...

... that plays over the opening credits of Private School. And I always thought it was some throaway bit of epatage from some forgettable never-were band of the era (appropriate for what I maintain is the Worst.Movie.Ever, the '80s teen comedy that seems like it was made to fit baby-boomers' ideas of what teen comedies were.

Never heard of it, but it is namechecked in something approximating a reliable source, so I've dropped it in. It's not obviously in the Nilsson biographies, so I'm not sure what involvement he had, I think he had pretty much retired in 1983 to take up anti-gun politics. "Never heard of it" I'm sorry (non-sarcastically) for having let you know of its existence. Yeah, my understanding is that after Lennon died (also probably coinciding with a general downturn in interest in singer-songwriters of his era), Nilsson told friends he was pretty much retired ... I doubt that he really cared how any movies used his music since it meant a check, money which he very much welcomed at that point. Infoboxes (again)

Actually, this article is much better than most articles about songs. An infobox is helpful because it summarizes key features of the page's subject including the cover image. Using an infobox also makes the data within it available to third party re-users. WP:SONGS recommends using Template:Infobox single for singles and Template:Infobox song for songs. Ugh-not THIS again! The boxes aren't mandatory and shouldn't be. The article needs more content, not a box. Without content, this place would be a just a collection of boxes. Some of us are tired of writing content because of the undue emphasis some people place on having a box on an article. We hope (talk) 22:05, 28 February 2017 (UTC)

Funeral song

Does anybody (paging JG66) have a more reliable source than this for the claim that those present at Nilsson's funeral (including George Harrison) broke out into an impromptu rendition of this song? Ritchie333 ^{(talk) (cont)} 13:54, 21 February 2019 (UTC)

Wow, that's funny ... It's the first I've heard of Harrison or any of the former Beatles attending Nilsson's funeral, although it makes sense that Starr, especially, would have gone. There's a brief listing of Harry's death in Keith Badman's The Beatles Diary but nothing at all about the funeral (whereas details do appear elsewhere for, say, Carl Perkins' funeral, which Harrison attended).
