Page is Mistitled
editThis song is "You Really Got a Hold on Me", not "You've Really Got a Hold on Me". Cite "Revolution in the Head" and any number of other places. Notice that even in other Web pages that incorrectly say "You've", where there are lyrics, the lyrics include "You Really" and not "You've Really". - The article is primarily about the original version by The Miracles, and it was indeed named "You've Really Got a Hold on Me". The version by the Beatles was misnamed, but the article should remain as it was and so I reverted it. John Cardinal 02:36, 13 November 2007 (UTC)
George Harrison or John Lennon?
editBefore I really learnt to tell the difference between the individual Beatles' vocals, I used to have real trouble distinguishing John's voice from George's. I would often mistake George for John. But as time went on I discovered that George's vocal was usually a tiny bit deeper and smoother, not as scratchy as John's vocal sometimes is. C.Syde (talk | contribs) 23:46, 19 April 2014 (UTC)
Musicians on the original Miracles version
editAccording to this site http://www.pfunkportal.com/recordings/3529 the original version by the Miracles features the following musicians:
- Marv Tarplin, Eddie Willis – guitar
- Joe Hunter – piano*
- James Jamerson – bass
- Benny Benjamin – drums*
- Unknown musicians – saxophones
* denotes unconfirmed credits
Tarplin, Willis and Jamerson are all confirmed credits, while Benjamin and Hunter are unconfirmed. The saxophonists are unknown, but this is me using my original research (which, as I know, is against Wikipedia policy), but I'm convinced that the saxophone parts are played by Henry Cosby and Mike Terry, as the saxophone lines at the time were typically played by Cosby and Terry. I'm also well aware of the talk page guidelines, too, and I'm not intending to start a WP:FORUM here, just trying to get consensus on whether or not someone might actually care about this information, I don't think the source I gave is a reliable source, anybody got a better source, possibly a source that also mentions Cosby and Terry?--2601:153:881:3D60:55CF:CB7B:9FDC:3B08 (talk) 06:39, 30 May 2021 (UTC)
