Redundant critic
editThe main page point out that "the number can be gamed by bots". Just like every count based system and sky is blue. It look like people just add thing without purpose just because it exist Hyoroemon2 (talk) 23:55, 8 January 2020 (UTC)
Sources and Rewrites
editI have never heard about the supposed Graphite, Opal or Bronze tiers and the citations in that section dont say anything about them, so I dont know how its still up. The whole section shouldnt be in the article since there are no rewards. Wikipedia doesnt need to advertise Teespring integration or custom URLs. Also the rest of the article should probably be restructured, with an extra section per award type. There are also no images for any of the new and old styles of awards, and the only picture in the article is from a german channel that doesnt have an english wiki entry? I doubt there are no other usable images of awards available. Additionally thanks to the articles protection there is some very awkward writing and outright mistakes in the text, like "Creators who are already unveiled this award", and the people that can make changes to the articles arent fixing it. As long as it doesnt result in immediate massive vandalism thanks to people adding their youtubers of choice I think the protection should be removed to improve the quality of the article jonas (talk) 07:39, 8 December 2020 (UTC)
MrBeast 50 Million award
editHe didn’t get one, yet. He did get one made by his friend but that was confirmed not to be made by YouTube (by himself) and given it’s supposed to be officially by youtube I think that one should be removed, side topic big hit labels got 50 Million today so you can remove the predicted part Dieruseswiki (talk) 02:04, 10 January 2021 (UTC)
- Not a "friend" per se but another creator. The same creator also made one for dude perfect. So neither of them should be on the custom play button list. 142.68.130.247 (talk) 11:08, 10 December 2023 (UTC)

In the "Benefits and awards" section, Bronze level, please change "If a channel is monetized, this level adds a Teespring monetization option." to "If a channel is monetized, this level adds a Spreadshop or Teespring monetization option. error in silver award introduction
editSilver award wasn't introduced until 2013 vidcon. Not 2012. https://blog.youtube/creator-and-artist-stories/vidcon-round-up-whats-new
MrBeast never got a 50 million subscriber play button from Youtube
editHe got one from a friend and he also got one from the Youtube channel Daniel Krafft (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pnkw3vmKqbc&ab_channel=DanielKrafft). He never got one from Youtube, or at least not one he's shown to the public. The cross beside his name should be removed

Please add the fact that in June 2019, a YouTuber called JackSucksAtLife tricked Society Awards (with Mini Muka and Josh Kapranos' help) into giving him a US$3,000.00 replacement of KSI's Diamond Play Button without Jack having ten million subscribers at the time. A channel named Village Cooking Channel has reached the 10 million subscribers milestone and they received a diamond play button on 4th July 2021. Requesting the author to mention their channel's name in the list. Thankyou sir ASTheja (talk) 07:50, 15 August 2021 (UTC)

My request is to change the main image in this page. MrBeast has picture of all the official awards, therefore consider adding his picture instead of the Indian youtuber with only some playbuttons Ethicergy (talk) 05:29, 29 August 2021 (UTC)
- Not done: Please provide the picture and it will be considered adding to the article. Thanks, regards WikiSilky (talk) 08:57, 29 August 2021 (UTC)

In the section #Custom Creator Award, add a part about how BLACKPINK's award ended up not being a Custom Creator Award. Also add that YouTuber Daniel Krafft made play buttons for MrBeast and Dude Perfect.
Also add in a section about SethEverman's 1 million like award (maybe #1 Million Like Award) 73.162.91.15 (talk) 00:33, 20 September 2021 (UTC)

YouTube Music and Movies
editYoutube's Music channel found here with 115M subscribers, and Youtube's Movie channel found here with 144M subscribers (number of subscribers not listed in the channel, but findable via using YouTube's search function) both have an amount of subscribers over 50M and 100M. Should they be listed under the respective awards, or are only recipients of the awards listed? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 116.15.154.144 (talk) 13:59, 11 December 2021 (UTC)
- The latter. I doubt corporate channels receivd these awards, much less YouTube's own channels. InfiniteNexus (talk) 06:21, 13 December 2021 (UTC)
Addition of ColorsTV
editIt has come to my attention that Colors TV reached 50 million subscribers. I don't know if Colors TV got an award yet, but the channel should be added just in case.

Source about blackpink's custom button?
editI sadly don't have a primary source, but this youtuber clams the Blackpink award is not for 50M subscribers : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mQmz0-oCi7Y&t=240s
According to them, Blackpink received an award for something unrelated, around the time they reached 50M. That would make only 4 public custom buttons instead of 5, does somebody have some better source about the story behind this award? 91.181.199.112 (talk) 02:09, 19 March 2023 (UTC)

Update the main picture to this more recent higher quality/resolution photo of the 100,000 subscriber award including the congratulations letter signed by the new YouTube CEO Neal Mohan, and the included congratulations card (with the SocietyAwards logo at the bottom)
Mixedmorris (talk) 19:11, 16 June 2023 (UTC)
- Not done. I don't see why we would change it. Unless I am mistaken, the award is the exact same. And the image we already have has a pretty high resolution too. Cocobb8 (💬 talk • ✏️ contribs) 20:00, 16 June 2023 (UTC)
Outdated section
editI’m writing this again because it’s still outdated but there are 40 channels that have 50 million subscribers not 17 like the article suggests. I got this information from the Wikipedia article titled “List of most-subscribed YouTube channels” as well as Socialblade. MrBeast custom button
editMrBeast posted on his social media that he got a custom play button from YouTube for 200 million subscribers. Could this be added to the page by a user who has the ability to do so? 131.247.224.203 (talk) 17:30, 29 February 2024 (UTC)
- I'm not sure if the 200 million creator award MrBeast unboxed on his Instagram is an actual creator award sent from YouTube officially.
- This needs to be verified. Tomajjs126 (talk) 17:36, 29 February 2024 (UTC)
- He seems to have confirmed YouTube made and sent him it in this video. Can it be added (or at least receive a mention)?

It says that WWE channel reached/passed 100 million subscribers on March 8, which is not true. This channel reached/passed that milestone on March 6, as confirmed by Wikitubia. 83.23.55.139 (talk) 00:06, 23 August 2024 (UTC)
- Not done: please provide reliable sources that support the change you want to be made. Wikitubia is generally not considered a reliable source, per WP:FANDOM. — BerryForPerpetuity (talk) 12:42, 23 August 2024 (UTC)
- Regardless of this, WWE certainly hit 100 million on March 6, not 8, so "YouTube Creator Awards" needs to be slightly edited. 83.23.55.139 (talk) 20:54, 26 August 2024 (UTC)
