Lyric information is wrong, I tried editing it, but someone reverted back to incorrect info.

in the Lyric section. says "The song also includes a short intro invoking lyrics from Verdi's "Dies Irae", also the reference is incorrect. This is all theory someone made up.

EJAE and Mark Sonnenblick revealed in an interview that the eerie intro is actually the audio of the "Hunter's Mantra" (from the track "Prologue (Hunter's Mantra)") played in reverse. Here's one of the links to her interview.

I tried correcting the Lyric article, but somehow it reverted back to the incorrect information. If someone could help with this, it would be greatly appreciated. ~2025-36107-71 (talk) 01:12, 25 November 2025 (UTC)Reply

Firstly, the info about "Hunter's Mantra" in relation to the song's composition is already included (with citation) in the "Background and theme" section of the article. Secondly, it isn't that the info about "Dies Irae" is incorrect, it's that both pieces of information are true. The melody of the song's intro comes from reversing the melody of "Hunter's Mantra", while the lyrics of the song's intro are evoking "Dies Irae". Also, the latter info/analysis isn't just a "theory someone made up"; along with already being well cited/sourced in the article, literally some of the first few lines of "Your Idol"'s lyrics are "dies irae illa / vos solve in favillam". — Jamie Eilat (talk) 02:28, 25 November 2025 (UTC)Reply
