Fair use rationale for Image:DJM DJS10902.jpg

edit

Image:DJM DJS10902.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Living together?

edit

"The song was part of a stockpile of songs John and Taupin wrote in 1969 while living together." Really? why isn't this fact mentioned in the main articles? Avihu (talk) 18:27, 14 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Typical of the queer and egomaniacal Elton John to say that he wrote the song! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 124.197.15.138 (talk) 21:28, 8 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

EJ many think he wrote the song in Oct 1969 but he performs the tune of the chorus with amended lyrics here as a jingle in a Radio Luxembourg broadcast dated April 20 1969. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HqpYxfp3L0Y (109.151.234.165 (talk) 00:22, 20 December 2012 (UTC))Reply

Merge?

edit

It has been suggested that Your Song (Ellie Goulding song) is merged into this article. Any thoughts? Mhiji (talk) 17:25, 18 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

Chart positions

edit

I'm pretty sure Goulding's cover hit #1. Could this be referenced?--85.210.20.13 (talk) 15:23, 20 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

No, her version was never #1 on the main UK chart (see [1]), but rather on the download chart. SnapSnap 17:30, 20 February 2011 (UTC)Reply
