There seems to be some disagreement on sources on where Yu Deng is born.

For example these sources state Shenzhen. [1] [2]

These sources state Kaifeng. [1] [2]

What should we do. Should we build from consensus? Or do we wait for a more authoritative source?

That's a great catch. I looked at all four sources and one way of approaching this might be choosing the source that gives the highest degree of attention to details of his birthplace. Based on that, I would be inclined to follow , which includes interviews of his uncle, Wang Wenhui, and a general overview of his mother and relatives as a whole. The two sources which mention Shenzhen as his birthplace only give it a passing mention. Jay-Wiki (talk) 18:18, 26 July 2026 (UTC)Reply
