Speculations about physical attributes
editHello to all who read this page,
I have recently made a couple of edits to this page and some others related to Russian Octavists. I'm still editing anonymously because I haven't come up with a user name yet, I'm going to change that in the near future.
This and some other Oktavists' pages contain some speculation about the artist's body weight: "Wichniakov is an archetypal basso profondo. He stands over 195 cm tall, and weighs over 90 kilos."
Somebody has already added "citation needed".
I'm not too happy with this remark about his body weight for the following reasons:
- it is not very exact
- it is based entirely on speculation
- it is not relevant. There seems to be a consensus among experts that a certain body height is conducive, though not neccessary, for a very low voice, however the body weight is not relevant as it is not related to the length of the vocal chords.
- I take it that this was probably written in a very kind and admirative spirit, but I cannot help but find speculations about a person's body weight a bit rude.
Therefore I suggest that the passage "and weighs over 90 kilos" should be deleted; unless somebody has objections about this. If nobody minds I will probably do so in one or two weeks.

Since nobody had any objections (or even responded) I have made the suggested edit and a couple of other minor edits. And btw I have a username now. --Beharder (talk) 04:10, 10 January 2018 (UTC)
