Sample verses?

What purpose does this section serve at all? I'm not asking this rhetorically, I'm scratching my head trying to find a justification for it and I've come up with nothing. MezzoMezzo (talk) 05:00, 15 July 2013 (UTC)

Rightly pointed out Mezzo! Seems to serve no purpose on an encyclopedia. I think a theme for the Suras of the Quran as mentioned on Project Quran is somewhat suitable for a person trying to see an encyclopedic article on any Surah. HQEditor (talk) 14:00, 15 July 2013 (UTC)

I didn't know about that project before. I'm looking at it's suggested layout and indeed there doesn't seem to be a place for sample verses. Additionally, it does seem to be a violation of WP:INDISCRIMINATE. Would you support removing the section? MezzoMezzo (talk) 04:46, 16 July 2013 (UTC)

I do support removal, but I think any one interested to read this article should be referred to the original text and its translation some where in the article. I'm not sure how to add that in the article (I'm relatively new on WP). So I'm not removing it yet, but would support removing it if someone could add a pointer to the Surah itself. Differences from Biblical versions

Since most of this sura is an account of Joseph's life from Genesis and there are a number of differences between the two accounts, shouldn't we have a section noting these differences? I think it'd be useful. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.136.1.34 (talk) 19:31, 4 December 2013 (UTC)
