Does Wikipedia really have to have links to such words as doctor, nurse, and every year that ever existed? It seems to me that such links are abusive and serve no purpose since there would be few readers who would look for words such as doctor or apron from this article.Vogensen 14:36, 3 January 2006 (UTC)Reply

Indeed, I have exaggerated a bit. Doctor and nurse are indeed not needed. However, Wikipedia is not just for native English speakers; and "apron" is a fairly uncommon word. A link does little harm, and may help a non-negligible number of readers. This may not be enough reason to put a link, but may be enough reason to leave it there... Prosecution

edit

I made some changes to the sentence about his first prosecution. The sentence said that he was prosecuted for "quackery" (curandeirismo) by some medical association. Usually it's the justice system that prosecutes (there may have been a complaint from the association). Also the references said that he was convicted of illegally practicing medicine, which seems more plausible since quackery, is usually not a crime in itself. I couldn't find an online dictionary that translated curandeirismo as quackery. Finally, the link for "prosecuted" went to persecution which is not the same thing. --Lee Hunter 17:04, 14 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

I removed the link to the page for Edson Queiroz; that page has been changed to describe a different person than the person the link, refers to. --Solanth (talk) 15:00, 9 March 2009 (UTC)Reply
