ZA versus ZAMAK
editI've changed the references to ZA to ZAMAK in this article. ZA alloys are different than ZAMAK. ZAMAK alloys are primarily for die-casting, while ZA series alloys are for gravity casting. --Chuckhoffmann 00:21, 3 December 2005 (UTC)
See Talk:White metal#Zinc-based white metals
This article claims that ZAMAK is also known as "white metal". Anyone got a cite for this? IMHE (UK), those are lead-tin, not zinc. Andy Dingley (talk) 12:41, 5 June 2008 (UTC)
Title case versus upper case
editThe MoS recommends that article use standard title case for trademarks unless there is a compelling reason not to (i.e. universal use in sources). In this case, if the trademark has expired, I don't believe there's any reason not to have this article title-cased. Chris Cunningham (not at work) - talk 13:28, 22 September 2008 (UTC)
- Good point. Go for it. --Wizard191 (talk) 14:57, 22 September 2008 (UTC)
ASTM 8240 Standards Not Current
editThis is a good overview, however the ASTM 8240 Standards ( for example) cited are years out of date. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Rfumey (talk • contribs) 03:25, 30 July 2010 (UTC)
