Troodontinae
editTroodontinae exists under the ICZN but hasn't yet been widely applied to any clade, nor properly defined as far as I know. It was used for a clade including Byronosaurus + Troodon at one point in the past but hasn't appeared in any recent papers that I know of. Zanabazar has never been explicitly referred to the group as far as I know, though maybe as Saurornithoides junior? Anyway, including it on pages for anything but Troodon itself is inappropriate, since without a phylogenetic definition or actual genus referrals, it's monotypic. "Second largest"
editThis page says Zanazabar was "the second largest [troodontid] after Troodon" and "The only other troodontids that appear to be larger than it are specimens from Alaska that are currently classified in the genus Troodon". This is outdated now that Latenivenatrix has been discovered.Kiwi Rex (talk) 23:46, 9 April 2020 (UTC)
