Licenses? Free?

edit

Are these products free? What license applies to each? JonathanFreed (talk) 04:10, 23 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Apparently they are not free. A conversation I just had with Zend Support:

Zoheb: at 8:58:50
We have just released the new Zend Server 7 which is the current version.
Zoheb: at 8:59:12
After the release of ZS 7 we have currently stopped the free edition.

Really, merge with Zend?

edit

The point here is that PHP and Zend are different. Merging these articles would be like merging an article about Microsoft Certification with an article about Dell Computers. It is utterly absurd to suggest. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.117.29.62 (talk) 01:35, 14 November 2008 (UTC) Yes merge, Zend *** is Zend *** nomatter what. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 79.119.217.77 (talk) 19:33, 17 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

Zend Certification

edit

Attempted to merge the main points of the Zend Certification article with this one. Reviews? 63.110.89.212 (talk) 18:21, 10 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

Copied the rest of what was relevant over. It can be further edited for clarity. Kobra (talk) 16:52, 18 May 2012 (UTC)Reply

Management

edit

On their website they still have Zend Technologies Ltd. in their copyright notice, which hints that Zend Technologies Ltd. is still a separate company, that is merely owned by Rogue Wave.

The management positions listed in the company Infobox however are those of the parent company Rogue Wave Software Inc and not of Zend Technologies Ltd. That confusion possibly stems from the fact that if you try to find infos about the company on the Zend website, you're redirected to the company information of Rogue Wave.

So if the two are in fact still seperate companies, the Zend Ltd should have it's own management positions, which might or might not be equal to those of Rogue Wave Software Inc. Just representing teh Rogue Wave Inc Management as that of Zend Ltd seems dubious at best, especially if no references are cited as to who is appointed to those positions. --Mastacheata (talk) 02:24, 8 July 2018 (UTC)Reply

POV in Products Section

edit

I added an inline POV template as I think the following opening paragraph reads like an advertisement

Zend branded products are designed to help PHP developers create applications. Products include Zend Server, Zend Studio and Zend Guard, as well as related PHP certification testing
