Clearly there is some confusion between two completely different aircraft, both built by Zeppelin, but with different designers.
The Zeppelin C.II, designed by Jaray, had an aluminium structure, but fabric covering and a semi-eliptical wing and lots of curves.
That is this aircraft, which Dornier had zero connection to:
The Zeppelin-Lindau CL.II, designed by Dornier, with a mostly stressed-skin aluminium structure, which looks like the box the C.II came in, thusly:
The CL.I was similar to the CL.II (which was originally designated the CL.Ia), but had the radiator in the upper wing and a slightly differently shaped rudder, while the C.I was similar to the C.II but had a horn balance on the rudder.
Of the four types, only the C.II saw any significant production (23), as a small number went to the Swiss AF.
