A good effort, mostly all in order
- Why are a couple of refs not in surname, firstname format?
- Article used RS. Otherwise in order
- Sort grouped footnotes in order[3][2] eg
- Lead uses Feb 8, but table uses day month
- "His first foray into international athletics circuit came in 2002" missing the
- "with 1:03:05" missing "the time of"
- The country should be specified as some will not know which country Vilamoura, Rades is in
- "break through " single word
- Isn't it a bit odd to say what country his opponents are from?
- In some places, commas are used for every three numbers, but not for 5000. Why?
- Comprehensive, well written, other stuff in order

- I think I've carried out nearly all your suggestions (diff). For some reason I though multiple authors weren't listed surname first! Good point on the minor cities thing.
- The numbers thing is mainly to keep in line with the way the athletics governing body lists events: i.e. 3000/5000/10,000 metres. Basically, a comma is added when the number of thousands is in double digits (9999–10,000). I don't think this is an unusual style (see some similar usages)...but I'm not a style guide meister!
- I generally made a note of some nationalities to tie in with the whole way Tadese deals with the Ethiopia/Eritrea situation (namely the combination of his national pride and his apolitical approach to his opponents' nationalities). If there are any gratuitous usages feel free to mention/remove them, but nations are often key to major competitions – for example, the World Cross Country Championships deal out both "individual" and "national team" medals. However, I suppose nationality is of less importance outside of these contests. Any other suggestions or points you have are, as always, most welcome!
