Primary Topic
editThere would appear to be a primary topic at Ziggy Stardust (character). As such:
- Ziggy Stardust (disambiguation) and Draft:Ziggy Stardust (disambiguation) should be deleted;
- Ziggy Stardust should be moved to Ziggy Stardust (disambiguation);
- Ziggy Stardust (character) should be moved to Ziggy Stardust.
Thoughts? This would seem to me to be pretty clear-cut per WP:PRIMARYTOPIC; however, I do not have the requisite user permissions to carry it out myself.

– Per the dab page Ziggy Stardust was a glam alter ego of David Bowie in the early 1970s
, the WP:PRIMARYTOPIC is Ziggy Stardust (character). The character also seems to be the primary topic for the term "Ziggy Stardust" among RSes, followed by the album. AllegedlyHuman (talk) 20:44, 2 July 2021 (UTC)
- Oppose: I don't see any evidence that readers who look for "Ziggy Stardust" are almost certainly looking for the fictional character. I would expect them to mostly be looking for the song or the album (and there is also a film). I also don't see any evidence that the fictional character is dramatically more historically important than the song, album or film. — BarrelProof (talk) 22:33, 2 July 2021 (UTC)
- Oppose leave as is. In ictu oculi (talk) 14:33, 3 July 2021 (UTC)
- Support: Long overdue. Also, forgive me if I'm wrong, but aren't the first and second entries one and the same? One says it an alter ego of his and the other says it's a character of his; there's no difference. Sean Stephens (talk) 02:04, 7 July 2021 (UTC)
- Oppose Filer does not give evidence that this is the primary topic. The Banner talk 17:47, 10 July 2021 (UTC)
- Oppose. The character gets 3x the views of the song, but the album, commonly known as Ziggy Stardust, dominates[1]. —В²C ☎ 05:07, 11 July 2021 (UTC)
- Oppose. The album is commonly called Ziggy Stardust rather than by its full title. Of the three main items on the DAB page, the character got 17% of the views in the last year. WP:PTOPIC says, "A topic is primary for a term with respect to usage if it is highly likely—much more likely than any other single topic, and more likely than all the other topics combined—to be the topic sought when a reader searches for that term." The character is beyond doubt not PTOPIC. Narky Blert (talk) 14:09, 14 July 2021 (UTC)
- Oppose – Album is commonly called Ziggy Stardust. – zmbro (talk) 22:08, 17 July 2021 (UTC)
