Version of this album with at least 1 audio difference

There seems to be at least 2 different versions of this album that have been released. Wether or not the 2 versions are available now at retail, remains to be seen. Im not talking about different special editions, or packaging, Im referring to the actual audio recordings. One noticable difference is in the track "Solar Winds". At the very end of the track, Ziltoid is quoted as saying in one version "Phooey, Indeed, Phooey", whilst in another version he says instead "Phooey, And Double Phooey". Im not sure if they are both out there on retail, or if one was a promo or leaked version. I havn't added it to the main article, because I don't have enough information on this matter, and also the subject matter involves copyrighted material, which i cannot link to in the references without permission. When Devin Townsend comes back from his tour, I will ask him about this on the hevydevy forums, and I will also ask his permission if i can make a short audio sample containing both quotes for wikipedia. Rock Band Versions

ZTO (the first track) got released on Rock Band. One thing of note is that Devin said he was redoing the vocals so they fitted Rock Band, changing the plot significantly. As far as i can tell from ZTO, the plot revolves around the player having 45 minutes to impress Ziltoid. Should it be mentioned on this wiki, considering such a thing has not been done with any other music in one of these games yet? (Megadeth's Sudden Death doesn't count, as that was just a song that saw early release on the game with no ties to the plot) 86.3.182.210 (talk) 23:10, 28 February 2011 (UTC)

I'm considering adding a section about this, having just stumbled across this version of the album. The entire thing was indeed released to the Rock Band Network; I think it was the first instance of a whole album being released like this, I don't know if there were others off the top of my head, though the release dates seem to have been sporadic between 2011 and 2012 rather than it happening all on the same day. The intro to ZTO and the outro to The Greys are both significantly different, setting up a plot where the player has to convince Ziltoid that Rock Band is good and "not for nerds". Most tracks have changed dialogue in the incidental bits and/or jokes in the subtitles (in ZTO Ziltoid takes control of the subtitles so that they sometimes mirror what he's saying rather than what the player is supposed to sing). 49.50.227.10 (talk) 05:08, 28 April 2022 (UTC)
