How do I clear this page from being flagged? I edited it.

Umm... not much to do. Hopefully other people will eventually edit it and provide some sources and the such. We generally discourage people from editing pages about themselves. See Wikipedia:Autobiography. Sasquatch t|c 18:27, 17 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

I am not Zina. I just added notes.

{{helpme}} I am not Zina. I added notes.

The user who created this page and contributed most of its content was named Zinagoldrich. I'd say the COI tag is valid, but it shouldn't take much work to neutralize it. Although it's reasonably well-sourced, the name dropping and glowing reviews make it come across slightly spammish and POV. You may want to ask WarthogDemon (who placed the COI tag) what improvements he might suggest. (PS - don't forget to sign your posts with four tildas: ~~~~)Hoof Hearted 20:39, 19 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

{{helpme}} I left a question on User talk:WarthogDemon as to what to do to remove the flag on this page. Any other help would be greatly appreciated. 209.11.94.2 20:17, 26 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

I struck out the {{helpme}} requests which don't actually do anything on a page like this. If you have any further questions, raise them at WP:Editor assistance/Requests and someone will respond. EdJohnston (talk) 01:26, 15 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

Removed COI tag

edit

I checked the article and it now seems reasonably neutral. I removed the COI tag. Please let me know if anyone believes this is premature, or if there is something more to be fixed. While I'm here I'll undo the {{helpme}} requests above; they are only supposed to go on User Talk pages. (They don't do anything useful on article Talk pages such as this one). The article still shows traces of having been written without a neutral point of view. An article of this kind must demonstrate that the subject is notable in accordance with WP:BIO. It should not be a general biographical work; it must be for the purpose of highlighting the subject's notability. I suggest the following areas need attention to restore a neutral point of view:
  • Where Zina grew up is not relevant to her notability as a composer.
  • scheduled to have a world premiere in 2009. This is not objective because it hasn’t happened yet. This looks like advertising.
  • numerous other venues throughout the USA and Canada. This looks like vanity. The word numerous is vague. If the venues contribute to notability, name them. Otherwise delete the reference.
  • received favorable reviews in the NY Times. Vanity again. An objective expression of this fact could be achieved by deleting the word favorable (unless someone independent of Zina has written in a verifiable source that the reviews were favorable, in which case that someone should be cited.)
  • special benefit for three performances. This looks like clutching at straws. If these three performances contributed to notability, explain why. Otherwise delete the references.
  • The reference to Taylor the Latte Boy appears to contribute nothing to the case for Zina’s notability. It should be either deleted, or supplemented to show that it genuinely contributes to Zina’s notability.
  • written songs for many Disney characters. The word many is vague, and looks like vanity. If they contribute to notability, list these characters. If not, delete the sentence.
I offer these criticisms in the hope that they help the article. Dolphin51 (talk) 05:21, 15 August 2008 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for your reply. These appear to be valid points. Do you want to go ahead and revise the article? EdJohnston (talk) 23:06, 15 August 2008 (UTC)Reply
I have written to Zina on the matter. I'm sure one of us will revise. Dolphin51 (talk) 04:08, 16 August 2008 (UTC)Reply
