"Forward Lift"

Can someone explain the technologies that Zipp has introduced to the market without making this wiki page into a sales brochure? What is forward lift? What is a toroidal bulge (and what purpose does it serve)? Why does a Zipp wheel seem to cost 50%-100% more than the average competitor?

Image:ZippLogo.gif is being used on this article. Notability was asserted but not verified. I've added a secondary source talking about the acquisition by SRAM: this verifies the notability. Zipp Speed Weaponry also redirects here now. Severo^TC 01:26, 23 November 2007 (UTC)
