Anyone Else Working on this Article?
editI was wondering if anyone else out there is still trying to help improve/edit any of the Zoids articles? Or has the fanbase died enough that no one cares anymore? If someone else is out there, give me a shout! I'd love to help out on improving the Zoids articles. ZoidsRewrite (talk) 22:59, 10 June 2010 (UTC)
I work on the articles. Kinda sad, since they need alot of work. (Zoids Fanatic (talk) 02:59, 11 June 2010 (UTC))
Ah, cool, at least I'm not the only one then. It is kinda sad just how much work these articles need, especially when compared to the other mecha franchises such as Gundam and Transformers. Hopefully I'll be able to make a lot of progress on them, at least the product / model kit related ones this summer and bring them up to par. Would be wonderful to have some assistance and collaboration! Especially with the anime and video game aspects. ZoidsRewrite (talk) 05:12, 11 June 2010 (UTC)
Ya, it's sad. I do think that the anime sections may require a overhaul, and that some of the characters need articles of their own. (Zoids Fanatic (talk) 12:18, 11 June 2010 (UTC))
I'm guessing no one wants to discuss Zoids? (Zoids Fanatic (talk) 02:27, 15 June 2010 (UTC))
you know it is sad that nobody cares about this show anymore i use to love watching it growing up as a kid its just sad but i think that Zoids: New Century Zero was still the best even though it was the shortest wish they would make a second season to it but we all know thats not going to happen ([bigb7589]) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.243.250.165 (talk) 05:46, 9 September 2010 (UTC)
Ya. Atleast Zoids is still popular at the Zoids Wiki. And more of a Guardian Force person myself. (Zoids Fanatic (talk) 20:40, 9 September 2010 (UTC)) didnt really care for that one i'm not really sure why —Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.243.250.165 (talk) 00:00, 10 September 2010 (UTC)
Merges
editIn a couple recent AfDs, editors have recommended merging to this page. Some possibilities include Robo Strux and Zoids Graphics. Sources do exist to verify the information in the articles under question, as confirmed on Google News, but before being WP:BOLD, I thought I might see if anyone has any additional suggestions first, i.e. should we have a List of Zoids? And so on. Best, --A NobodyMy talk 03:56, 16 September 2009 (UTC)
hell! all the zoids stuff is gone! wat moron redirected it here! crap! oh well at least there is still www.zoids.wikia.com but seriosly people this was a good resource! i wanna punch whoever deleted and redirected all those articles! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.68.52.76 (talk) 23:04, 15 October 2009 (UTC)
- It's gone because it was fancruft. Wikipedia is not a indiscriminate collection of information. The Zoids wiki is precisely where you should go if you're seeking such information. BlazerKnight (talk) 23:18, 15 October 2009 (UTC)

List
editWhy was list of zoids redirected to here? Where was the decision to do that? I see decision to merge into the list, but not to merge the list into the article. Further, even for those, I see a decision to merge, which means keeping at least some of the content. There was nothing in the relevant afds to indicate otherwise. Unless someone can show me where there was consensus to merge that list into here, I'm going to restore it . DGG ( talk ) 01:55, 15 September 2009 (UTC)

Restructuring battle story bits
editWould anyone mind terribly if I (heavily) edited the battle story plot summary to be a) shorter and b) more relevant to the toyline itself, then went source-hunting for the results? I wager I could find at least catalouges and the like mentioning Zoids and release dates that'd help a little with the article's current Lack Of Sources problem. Storchofdoom (talk) 03:17, 5 March 2009 (UTC)
Zoid.US
editI do not know who keeps deleting the links to Zoid.US that has been up for over a year. If someone could please inform why this is happening I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks. ZoidUs (talk) 22:01, 28 December 2008 (UTC)
- In general, fansites get removed (otherwise the external references degenerates into everybody adding theirs). However, if you're using stuff on zoid.us as a reference in writing parts of the article, please add it as a citation-type thing, the article could do with more. Deletion
editpeople are deleting major zoids, it is very annoying. for example, the blade liger page doesnt exist anymore, and the link points you to a part of the chaotic century page —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.226.229.76 (talk) 00:45, 19 December 2008 (UTC)
- If you have problems with this, and actually have a way of convincing people that they are wrong (which i don't), talk to TTN, and bug the crap out of him. i Really agree with you.Lord GaleVII (talk) 15:09, 20 December 2008 (UTC)
- Most Zoids aren't exactly notable on a grand scale, covering them in detail is what the Zoids wiki is for. Though someone should really put some Blade Liger info where the redirect goes D:. 82.38.8.144 (talk) 19:03, 23 December 2008 (UTC)

Zoids Manga
editShouldn't there be a small mention of the manga? Viz Media publishes(ed?) manga for both Chaotic Century and New Century Zero. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 195.194.75.226 (talk) 16:06, 12 December 2008 (UTC)
Dance Dance Revolution
editI've noticed that in dance dance revolution, several of the songs (1998 and Brilliant 2U and probably others) feature a zoid-like animation sequence. Can someone explain? (Please use my talk page) tinlv7 18:01, 6 November 2007 (UTC)
What about the zoids videogames??
editAnyone knows if there are zoids videogames?? And if there are, why they are not in this article??
- There are. See List of Zoids video games and Zoids Saga. Would personally prefer a decent level of information on the games before trying to work into this already massive article. -- saberwyn 00:38, 15 May 2007 (UTC)
- In that case, shouldn't we put a link to it under the "See also" list then? Sakota 12:22, 10 June 2007 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:Spideyzoids49.jpg
editImage:Spideyzoids49.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 08:12, 6 June 2007 (UTC)
Zoids Web Comic
editShouldn't there be any mentions about it considering that it's been talked about in various zoid articles such as the Gojulas and the Red Horn? Sakota 04:40, 3 June 2007 (UTC)
- There should. I don't have any information, beyond the sporadic appearance of Zoids. The user who did hasn't been around in a long time. Any help appreciated. -- saberwyn 09:55, 3 June 2007 (UTC)
- Well one thing that I know about it (since I can bearly read Japanese), is that six of the comics are being currently being hosted on the official website for the Zoids Infinity PS2 game. You can view them by clicking on the red banner located on the bottom-right of site's main logo (The one with the words WEB in it, in case you can't read Japanese). Just by looking at it, it appears to be focusing around the conflict between two pilots from the Helic & Guylos, and their Konig Wolf and Liger Zero X. - Sakota 11:17, 3 June 2007 (UTC)
- Would it be worth splitting off the Marvel UK material to Zoids (comics) and then add in other comic outings? It saw the early work of various big name British comic creators for starters and it looks like it has about reached the size it can as a section. (Emperor (talk) 00:25, 10 March 2008 (UTC))
Suggestions for improvemet
editTo improve the quality of the article, a few things need to happen:
- There needs to be a cutdown of the plot summary material, in particular for the anime, which is/should be covered in the specific series articles, and the UK comic, which should hopefully be built up and farmed out to Zoids (Marvel UK comic) or similar.
- Articles that can be linked from here by {{main}} or {{further}} templates going into more detail... the best articles to establish would be a Zoids (anime) overview article, the aforementioned Zoids (Marvel UK comic)
- A greater focus needs to be on the more 'physical' aspects of each branch of the franchise. **As an example, the comics. Instead of plot summaries, there should be information on release dates, contributing authors/illuatrators, tie-ins (internal-link to the appropriate model line(s)) etc.
- A section needs to be added for the games, preferablly linking out to a master article on Zoids games (which is not the List of Zoids games
Anime TV series and
editBecause a large chunk of this article discusses the Zoids anime/TV series, we have included it in TelevisionWikiProject and identified it as so. Please do not remove the notification as long as there is discussion of the anime series in the article. If the discussion is separated into its own article away from the article discussing the models, then the WikiProject notice should be moved with the anime discussion, not before the creation of such an article. An article covering several areas can indeed fall under more than one WikiProject, and this one does. 147.70.242.40 23:52, 23 April 2007 (UTC)
Allow me to render assistance if I can?
editStumbled across this page. Not sure how exactly this format works but I come with good intentions. Anyways, I'm open to help with anything... as websites go, I own www.zoids.tk, I'd love to set something up there. Hard work doing everything on my own ;) Rhenbelz 06:12, 4 April 2007 (UTC)

- Thanks, it's poo. I'd hope to eventually get some allies and improve it; I certainly have the resources. It's not about turning Zoids into an RPG, just mainly making the series accessible to everyone. Screw copyright :) Any suggestions welcome, however brutally honest they may be. I wasn't aware there was this little zoids community in wikipedia
editHeh, I come primarily from the big three zoids sites.
Zoids Evolution Forums Zoids GC Forums Phenotype Forums
I wasn't aware there was this little thing going on in wikipedia with zoids.
I want to let most of you of you know that one of the big zoids information sites, zoids evolution has officially stopped being updated, in fact it used to consist of 2 pages for months until the domain expired a few days ago. I’m going to claim the domain, and then try to restart it somehow. I even asked the original webmaster who I know well enough and she said it was ok.
I’ve already gotten some support from the site’s forums,
If you would help out, that would be great.
Shameless self-advertising:
It’s kinda a zoids forum XD
---Hey, if on any information site, you can find information that we don't have, post here and post the site url plz Lord GaleVII 00:13, 19 January 2007 (UTC)

What's happened to Zoids?
editIt's been years since something major has happened with the Zoids series. Is it still being produced? And what happened to the anime and manga, don't they have any more plans on the way?
Please someone say something or update the Zoids wiki page, it's been too long. At least put a "Future" section. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.25.229.61 (talk) 00:23, 13 October 2012 (UTC)
No nothing major has happened, at least not yet. Zoids are still being produced but they are re-runs of the old designs, just in pose-able form. There hasn't been anything noteworthy about those Zoids for years. A new line of miniature Zoids is coming in 2013 but there are no new Zoid design planned, just smaller versions of the old ones. I put a link for the miniature Zoids on the main page. No new anime or new manga has been alluded to either, but there's a set of "Zoid Concept Art" books around that may have more volumes on the way. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.154.185.149 (talk) 21:31, 18 October 2012 (UTC)
Man that's a bummer... Thanks for the update. It's good to know that the model line still exists in a way. You guys should place an "upcoming projects" section or something. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.25.229.61 (talk) 02:19, 5 November 2012 (UTC)
Zoids: Masterpiece
editIs anyone aware of the upcoming Zoids Masterpiece line from TakaraTOMY? It's starting with the Shield Liger which will be released in March 2016. Why hasn't this article been updated to include Zoids Masterpiece?
