a metaphor for time?
editi dont think so, the lyrics sais that "time is a train",and where does a train stop? at a station,so when time stops, you die right? so maybe it means that the station is death,or maybe heaven. the lyrics "Leaves you standing at the station" kinda supports this. Sound at the start
editIf the strange marimba-like sound that the article refers to is the quiet 'tink-tink-tink' before the first bit of guitar comes in, then I believe the article is wrong. I have been told, but I don't have a source for this, that that sound was that of Paul McGuiness (U2's manager) tapping on his coffee mug with his spoon.
I think that this sentence should be referenced if it is correct, edited and referenced if it is incorrect, or deleted if no evidence can be found either way.

I'm quite sure that the sound at the beginning of the track is the sound of guitar strings being strummed above the nut of the guitar (i.e. on the headstock). —Preceding unsigned comment added by 199.212.7.17 (talk) 19:53, 28 September 2010 (UTC)
Key change?.
editThe article states the song changes key in the choruses. There is no reference for this, except the album's sleeve. I no longer have access to my Achtung Baby CD (it's buried in my garden - seriously. but that's another story). But, I doubt very much that a change in key is mentioned in an album sleeve.
The choruses are indeed a change in chord progression patterns - that's not the same thing as a key change. Eg, RTTSS has a clear change from the D-G chord pattern of the verse to an A-Bm-G-D (or similar) in the chorus. That's a change in chord progressions - not a key change. I cannot hear a key change in ZS, rather, it appears to be a chord change.
This needs clarification, and I also suggest the CD sleeve be removed as it doesn't seem to be referencing anything (although, I'm happy to be corrected). --Merbabu (talk) 03:57, 27 March 2010 (UTC)

Zoo Station → Zoo Station (song) – Have you got any rules for this song is very very famous in the world? All of named "Zoo Station" is so famous. Is this song so famous to get this place to do that? JUST REQUEST IT MOVE TO Zoo Station (song). CRCHF (talk) 13:17, 15 October 2014 (UTC)
- Oppose. I'm not exactly sure what the OP means in his nomination, but the existence of other partial title matches doesn't mean this is the primary topic for "Zoo Station." -- Calidum 16:31, 15 October 2014 (UTC)
Oppose per Calidum. The other titles are indeed partial matches and this song appears to be the primary topic.Myxomatosis57 (talk) 18:34, 15 October 2014 (UTC)- Support per In ictu ocul. Thanks for pointing out the matches, I didn't realize those at the first glance. Myxomatosis57 (talk) 14:04, 16 October 2014 (UTC)
- Primary topic? Have you got any permission for this song is the primary topic?--CRCHF (talk) 01:20, 16 October 2014 (UTC)
- Support - this album track (not a single) is named after Berlin Zoologischer Garten railway station, colloquially known as "Zoo Station". In what way User:Myxomatosis57 are the others "partial matches", they are identical matches "Zoo Station" to which Wikipedia editors have added city names:
- Taipei Zoo Station, Taipei Rapid Transit System
- Taipei Zoo South Station, Maokong Gondola Taipei, Taiwan
- Zoo (C-Train), a light rail station in Calgary, Canada
- Beijing Zoo Station, of Beijing Subway
- Zoo Station (Guangzhou), of Guangzhou Metro
- Zoo Station (Shenzhen), Shenzhen Metro
- Zoo Station (Chongqing), Chongqing Metro
- It is ridiculous to have a non-hit album track squatting on a generic station name. In ictu oculi (talk) 04:02, 16 October 2014 (UTC)
- Support. And move Zoo Station (disambiguation) to Zoo Station. The various listed bus and railway stations will likeliest be there for a long time; the song will likeliest be as ephemeral as most pop music songs. Anthony Appleyard (talk) 05:17, 16 October 2014 (UTC)
- Support. A song lasts 4/5 minutes, a railway station might be there a couple of hundred years. The stations will be around when even U2 are forgotten. --Richhoncho (talk) 10:33, 16 October 2014 (UTC)
- Support only because there are actual Zoo Stations. Red Slash 01:44, 17 October 2014 (UTC)
- Support move but rather than putting the disambig page at this title, it seems to me that the Berlin station is the most well known "Zoo Station" so maybe this title should redirect there with a hatnote there pointing to the disambig? Slambo (Speak) 15:07, 20 October 2014 (UTC)
- Support as an editor of this article as well as many other U2 articles. I do agree that a disambiguation page should be created to distinguish this article from actual train stations of the same name. –Dream out loud (talk) 19:44, 21 October 2014 (UTC)
- Support although I am not an editor of this article and I have been away from WP lately, I do agree with DOL. Miss Bono [hello, hello!] 19:01, 22 October 2014 (UTC)
