MOS:FOREIGNITALIC and "zori" as primary spelling

edit

Firstly, Merriam-Webster Online has an entry for zori, thus it fails the rule of thumb for applying MOS:FOREIGNITALIC. I've removed its italicisation.

Secondly, Google Ngram found that "zori"—spelt without a macron—was the more common spelling by a good margin. As such, the subject is now referred to without the macron throughout the article (the title should shortly be changed as well). Albeit, seeing a sizeable number of our sources using the macroned spelling, I've mentioned "zōri" in the lead sentence as an alternative spelling. I'llbeyourbeach (talk) 21:00, 14 August 2021 (UTC)Reply
