Okay dokes. Created this, largely using this as my reference. It's good, but its about 85 years old and mainly centred around the Parsees. Other sources would be good. -- User:LukeSurl 13:15, 21 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

well done.
even though, as you point out, JJM is an 85 year old source, the ceremony is pretty much unchanged. I'd use a quote from the JJM text so that it too appears as a <ref> in the bibliography. The arranged marriage bit is however truly antiquated.
"The curtain is then dropped and the couple throw rice over each other, the first to do so is said to 'win'"
Today, there is a little more to this. Their hands are bound together under the curtain. When the curtain is dropped, the one who pulls the hands of the other over to his/her side wins, and is then said to be going to be the more dominant one of the two. In the case where I got to witness this, the girl won. I have a picture of this somewhere.
