The Tandragee 100 is a motorcycle race spanning 5.3 miles, often referred to as the 'Mini TT'. This event occurs on public roads that connect Tandragee and Markethill, located near the village of Clare in County Armagh, Northern Ireland.[1][2]

History

edit

The Tandragee 100 occurred for the first time on Saturday, 19 April 1958.

Initially, it was a 100-mile handicap race, and over the past six decades,[when?] it has transformed into the event recognised today.

Since 1958, the Tandragee 100, organised by the North Armagh Motorcycle & Car Club Ltd, has taken place on a consistent route between Tandragee and Markethill.

Participants

edit

The Tandragee 100 has played host to many road racers including: Guy Martin, Joey Dunlop, Ryan Farquhar, Philip McCallen, and Michael Dunlop. The race did not take place during 2020 or 2021 due to COVID-19, was cancelled in 2023 due to insurance costs and again in 2024 due to lack of course resurfacing.[3] As of 2024, it was set to return once again in 2025 following the announcement that resurfacing work on the course would occur.[4]
