Taufan (transl. Typhoon) is a 1952 Indonesian drama film directed by Ali Joego and starring Zaenab, Agus Muljono, Desiree Satyamurti, Rd Ariffien, Alam Surawidjaja, and A. Usman. The film follows the story of a village girl who moves to Jakarta and becomes successful.

Production

Taufan was directed by Ali Joego and produced by Thong Khin New under the Ksatrya Dharma production company.[1] The film's cinematography was handled by Tjwe Kiang, with Hibnu serving as the art director.[1] The musical score and audio were composed by Victor Tobing and Salim.[1] It marked the acting debut of Agus Muljono and Zaenab Samallo, with production beginning in 1951.[2] Alam Surawidjaja, who also starred in the film, served as assistant director.[3]
