Template:Antarctic Protected Area row/doc

This template is for use with Historical Sites or Monuments and other protected areas Antarctica.

Types

• For Antarctic Specially Managed Area, use |type=ASMA
• For Antarctic Specially Protected Area, use |type=ASPA
• For Historic Sites and Monuments in Antarctica, use |type=HSM, or omit the type parameter

• number: the number of the Protected Area according to the Antarctic Treaty System
• name: the name of the site
• description: a description of the site
• proponent: the proponent country (countries). Not shown at this point.
• management: the country (countries) responsible for the management of the site. Not shown at this point.
• adopted: the recommendation under which the site has been recognized.
• lat: the latitude of the monument
• lon: the longitude of the monument
• area: the estimated area of the site
• M_plan: a link (url) to the pdf describing the Management Plan of the site - if available. Not shown at this point.
• alt_country1: ISO 3166-1 code for the country that also recognized this site as a national monument in their own system - if applicable. Not shown at this point.
• alt_number1: unique identifier for the monument if recognized also in a national system. To be used in combination with alt_country1.
• commonscat: Category on Wikimedia Commons of this site.
• url: Link to more information on the website of the Antarctic Treaty System
• image: is the image name you want to include

Microformat

The HTML markup produced by this template includes an hCard microformat, which makes the place-name and location parsable by computers, either acting automatically to catalogue articles across Wikipedia, or via a browser tool operated by a person, to (for example) add the subject to an address book. Within the hCard is a Geo microformat, which additionally makes the coordinates (latitude & longitude) parsable, so that they can be, say, looked up on a map, or downloaded to a GPS unit. Sub-templates

If the place or venue has "established", "founded", "opened" or similar dates, use {{start date}} for the earliest of those dates unless the date is before 1583 CE.
